When to go

Best time to visit India, Nepal, Bhutan, the Maldives & Sri Lanka

Timing is everything for a multi-country South Asia trip. Here's when each destination is at its best — and the windows where they overlap.

India

October to March suits most of India — cool, dry and sunny across the Golden Triangle, Rajasthan, Kerala and the wildlife parks. The Himalayas and Ladakh are a summer destination (June–September).

Sri Lanka

The west and south coasts and the cultural triangle are best December to March; the east coast peaks May to September. For an India + Sri Lanka trip, aim for the December–March window.

Nepal

October–November and March–April bring the clearest Himalayan views and stable weather — ideal for pairing with India's peak season.

Bhutan

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are loveliest — clear skies, festivals and comfortable hiking to the Tiger's Nest.

Maldives

The dry season runs November to April — perfect for a beach finale after an India tour.

The best overlap

December to March works for India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives together; for India + Nepal or India + Bhutan, favour October–November or March–April. Tell us your dates and we'll build the trip around them.
