Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 8 July 2026

These terms govern your use of anantbharata.com and any booking you make with Anant Bharata Travels Private Limited, trading as Anant Bharata ("we", "us", "our"). Please read them together with our Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy, which form part of these terms. By enquiring or booking with us you accept them.

1. Who we are

Anant Bharata is the brand of Anant Bharata Travels Private Limited, a company incorporated in India, designing private, tailor-made tours of India and combined journeys with Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. You can reach us at hello@anantbharata.com or on WhatsApp at +91 98334 84994.

2. Website content

Everything on this website — itineraries, day-by-day plans, hotel styles, seasons and inclusions — is indicative and provided for inspiration. Itineraries are samples that we redesign for each guest; availability, routings, permits and experiences vary by date and season. We may update, correct or remove content at any time and do not warrant that the website is error-free or uninterrupted. Nothing on the website constitutes an offer capable of acceptance; a trip exists only once confirmed in writing as set out below.

3. How a booking is formed

Enquiries are free and without obligation. When you are ready, we issue a written quotation setting out the itinerary, inclusions, exclusions, price, payment schedule and any special conditions. A booking is confirmed only when (a) you accept the quotation in writing and (b) we receive the deposit stated in it, after which we send a written confirmation. The written quotation and confirmation, together with these terms, form the whole agreement. If anything in a quotation differs from these terms, the quotation prevails.

4. Prices & payment

Prices are prepared individually and shared on enquiry, fully itemised. Each quotation states its validity period; until the deposit is received, prices may change due to currency movements, taxes, fuel surcharges, park or permit fee revisions, or supplier changes outside our control. Payment methods, currency and the balance schedule are stated in your quotation. Services may be suspended if payments are not received when due.

5. Changes by you

Tell us as early as possible and we will do our best to accommodate amendments (dates, hotels, routing, travellers). Changes are subject to availability and to any fees charged by hotels, airlines and other suppliers, which will be passed on at cost. A change of departure date or a reduction in party size may be treated by suppliers as a cancellation — see our Cancellation Policy.

6. Changes by us

Occasionally conditions beyond our control (weather, road closures, permit availability, a hotel closing rooms) require us to adjust an itinerary. Where this happens we will substitute services of a comparable or better standard wherever possible and tell you promptly. If a significant change must be made before departure, we will offer you alternatives, including a revised itinerary or a refund of the affected, recoverable amounts.

7. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellation terms, timelines and refund processing are set out in our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Passports, visas, insurance & health

It is your responsibility to hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond travel, obtain the correct visas and permits for every country visited, ensure names on bookings match passports exactly, and meet any health or vaccination requirements. We provide guidance gladly, but we are not liable for refusal of entry, visa rejection or costs arising from missing or incorrect documents. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all trips — including medical evacuation cover for Himalayan and high-altitude itineraries — and we may require proof of it for certain journeys.

9. Third-party suppliers

Your trip is delivered with the help of independent suppliers — hotels, airlines, railways, houseboat and cruise operators, safari parks, and licensed local operators in Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Each supplier's own conditions of carriage or service apply to the part they deliver. We choose our partners with care and monitor them continuously, but we do not own or operate them, and we are not liable for their acts or omissions beyond the amounts and remedies available to us from them.

10. Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) our total liability in connection with any booking is limited to the amounts you paid us for the affected service; (b) we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of enjoyment, or missed onward arrangements; and (c) we are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including weather, natural disaster, epidemics, strikes, civil unrest, government action, or airline and railway delays. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Your conduct & fitness to travel

You must disclose at enquiry any medical condition, reduced mobility or dietary need that could affect your trip, so we can design it safely. We may decline or terminate services — without refund of unused portions — where a traveller's behaviour is unlawful, abusive to our team or partners, or endangers the safety or enjoyment of others. Some experiences (treks, safaris, high-altitude drives) carry inherent risks that you accept by choosing them.

12. If something goes wrong

Tell us immediately — a real person is on WhatsApp 24/7 throughout your trip — so we can put it right while you travel. If you feel an issue was not resolved, write to hello@anantbharata.com within 28 days of your return and we will investigate and respond.

13. Intellectual property & credits

The Anant Bharata name, site design and original content are ours; please don't reproduce them without permission. Some photography and film on this site is used under Creative Commons licences and credited on our credits page.

14. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of India, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page applies from the date shown above. The terms in force on the date your booking is confirmed apply to that booking.
